David Kim
Chairman
David Kim is the founder and Chairman of North Head Capital Partners based in Hong Kong
David is experienced CEO, seasoned banker, and global strategy professional with nearly 3 decades of cross-functional expertise. He worked at eight (8) international companies and banks living in six (6) Asian countries, during which he has successfully closed highly structured investment and financing deals for over 200 companies of various industries totalling more than USD 4 billion.
Prior to joining North Head, David was acting CEO at Leading Investment and Securities based in Hong Kong and Senior executive managing director at W Bank based in Korea. David also worked as Managing Director and country head of corporate financing group at GE Capital Korea for 7 years. He started his career at Korea Development Bank Capital in Korea and helped to set up multiple Joint Venture non-bank finance companies and banks in emerging markets, including Nepal, Vietnam and Thailand in the mid-1990s and also worked as CFO for MILC in Thailand.
David is also a frequent lecturer at various seminars, MBA and banks on the topics of M&A. international joint venture, and fundraising.
His academic qualifications include MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics with distinction and a B.A. in Japanese literature from Korea University. He also studied at Tsinghua University in Beijing and Kyorin University in Tokyo. David is fluent in English, Korean and Japanese and conversationally proficient in Chinese and Thai.
Lydia Chon
Managing Director (Hong Kong)
Ms. Lydia Chon is Managing Director of North Head Capital Partners, based in the head office in Hong Kong.
She is a seasoned consulting professional with over decades of experience in various industries in Asia in such industries as banking, hospitality and F&B.
Ryuichiro Abe is a Partner responsible for NHCP’s business in Japan.
Ryuichiro Abe most recently founded and managed RA Capital Advisory LLC (“RACA”), an independent financial advisory firm specializing in cross border M&A and restructuring financing based in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to founding RACA, he ran the structured lending and leveraged/asset finance business at GE Capital Japan for 5 years as a Managing Director. Before joining GE Capital, Abe was a General Manager of the international business department at Aozora Bank (formerly known as Nippon Credit Bank). Abe worked for Nippon Credit Bank for 20 years in Tokyo, New York and Sydney.
Mr. Abe graduated from Keio University in 1987.

Mary Cheuk

Mary Cheuk is a Managing Director at North Head Capital Partners responsible for NH’s business in Hong Kong and China.
Mary has over 30 years of experience in corporate financing and asset financing for transportation sector while working for many international financial companies. Mary has been Head of Sales- North Asia transportation finance of GE Capital Asia. She was previously Director of sales and marketing for Dell Asia and before that she held various sales and management position at international companies including IBM, General Electric, Transamerica and Dow Chemical.
Mary holds a BA (Hons) degree from La Trobe University (Melbourne) majoring in Philosophy.
